To talk about Condado de Huelva is to talk about wine. From a land where the vine is not only a crop, but also a culture, history and way of life. Here, among gentle hills, Atlantic breezes and generous soils, one of the oldest winemaking traditions in Spain was born, protected today by the Denomination of Origin Condado de Huelva.
This area, located in the southeast of the province and embraced by the Atlantic Ocean, brings together 18 municipalities that share the same essence: the care of the vineyard and respect for a heritage passed down from generation to generation.
The main protagonist is the Zalema grape, native and perfectly adapted to the environment, which brings freshness, smoothness and personality to the Condado wines. Other varieties such as Listán del Condado, Moscatel or Pedro Ximénez, red and white, coexist with this grape variety, enriching a diverse production that ranges from young and fruity wines to fortified wines, rosés, reds, orange, vermouth and vinegars, elaborations with their own character.
The Condado de Huelva Protected Designation of Origin is an invitation to discover how its winegrowers work the land, how these wines and vinegars are produced with a seal of guarantee and traceability, how wineries of family tradition converge with new proposals of signature wines in the same territory and with the same essence, quality.
