Its historic center, declared of Cultural Interest, is dotted with romantic and modernist houses, squares such as the Rocío and Spain, and landmark buildings such as the Casino or the Church of San Juan Bautista. The Church of the Valley and the Convent of the Sisters of the Cross preserve frescoes and architecture that take us back to past centuries.

Culinary tradition

Broad beans with pennyroyal, stewed with fresh garlic and pennyroyal, are a traditional delicacy from March to May, and are accompanied by the famous local brandies.

The Cruces de Mayo (May Crosses) show friendly rivalries between neighborhoods, and the Fiesta de la Vendimia (Grape Harvest Festival) combines agricultural tradition with celebrations of tourist interest. The patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen del Valle complete a cultural cycle full of color, flavor and music.
