The May Crosses are the soul of Bonares. Decorated streets, flowers, tradition and popular crafts make the town a unique spectacle, declared of National Tourist Interest in Andalusia.

Heritage and places of interest

Bonares surprises for its irregular layout and sloping streets, which give it a unique character within the county. Highlights include the Parish Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, with its Mudejar coffered ceiling, and the hermitages of San Sebastián and Santa María Salomé, examples of local religious heritage. The Colón Theater-Cinema and the Plaza de España complete the cultural life of the municipality.

A unique environment to discover

The natural environment of Bonares is marked by the banks of the Tinto River and areas such as El Corchito. A few kilometers away, the Arboretum of Villar offers a unique landscape with more than 90 species of eucalyptus trees and trails to enjoy nature.
